Diddy won't be dancing for a while...
Oh, boohoo, I'm weeping...with joy, that is.
I was on the bus earlier today, going into town to catch American Gangster in the theaters with a friend, which is, by the way, a terrific movie which you should check out. On the bus there are these LCD-monitors, kinda like computer monitors, which show advertising and short information from the news broadcasting networks. 92 % of the screen is used for advertising, and 8 % is used for the news. The news reports which is shown on this monitor, is grouped into categories, such as 'Domestic, 'International', 'Sports', and, the one that pisses me off the most - namely, 'Entertainment'. What is reported when this catergory of news comes on screen, is without question, pure bullshit. Uninteresting bullshit that no sane person cares about.
When I was on the bus, this news-function-whatever-the-fuck-ever, reported this, verbatim: "Diddy doesn't dance - P Diddy won't be dancing for a while." And that's all it said. It didn't say if he was shot, murdered (hopefully), injured, sick, or whatever. That was all it said, and the fact that this is being called news, and is distributed by a news agency and radio station called P4, one of the biggest in Norway actually (the radio station at least), is preposterous. Why anyone would ever care about his dancing habits, is beyond me. If the piece of information was explained with a "why", then it would probably have been remoteley interesting for the general idiot who laps up trends and celebrity bullshit like infants on a tit, but when there is no more information that what was, then it's just useless. Which makes me think that someone needs to die. I'm serious, this pisses me off to the extent that I start to loose more faith in humanity. This has got to be the most useless piece of information in the history of history... And that sort of "news" is shown ALL THE TIME when "Entertainment"-catergory comes on screen - "George Clooney looses pet" - "[Insert celebrity name here] did/fucked/didn't [insert whatever uninteresting piece of shit here]". Wow, how interesting. Not.
When someone in charge of what goes out to these LCD-monitors as "news", greenlights this, someone needs to get fired from their position, because this makes commuters dumber for every ride they go on, and it subconsciously changes people's priority of what is important when subjected for this SHIT for long enough a time. Celebrity gossip isn't important, and it never will be. I hate P4, and I hate these screens on the buses. And I've actually seen other ads for the company responsible for this atrocity in the first place, and their plan to put up LCD-monitors in certain grocery stores to advertise there as well. We're gonna be advertised to while we're in the store now, too? Fuck this man, this is a legitimate attempt to affect consumers to buy whatever is on the screen, and make them spend more money than what what they probably would've spent in the first place. I want these people to die. Someone kill P4 and Digital Poster AS. Now.
