Smokers do not have special privileges -
stop acting like it
This has been bugging the hell out of me for a long time now. Whenever smokers are finished with a cigarette, they just throw the butt away like it's somehow OK for them to litter, just because they smoke. I see grown-ups do this all the time, while they're preaching to their own children not to litter and not to throw garbage everywhere. That sort of hipocrisy can't be excused.
I bet it seems wrong to more people than me that when you're done with a cigarette, you just throw it away, like you're excused from breaking the law AND making the streets look shittier because you chose sometime in the past to inhale cancer inducing smoke on a daily basis.
I'm not going off here to chastise people for smoking, that's their choice. I can even go so far as to admit that smoking kinda gives certain people a touch of coolness to their image.
Either they don't think when they flick away their cigarette butt, or they think that it's ok because a certain thing called "common sense" can't get in the way of their habit and that they should have a special privilege since they smoke.
The next time I see a smoker throwing their smoke away like it was Ok to throw random shit around, I'm gonna start littering, because I should be excused since I have to eat and drink and I can't be bothered with throwing the trash from my habit in the trash can.
